What you can safely check yourself: open the cabinet door fully and look for the foil label with the model prefix. Measure the hinge cup with a tape measure, 35mm is roughly 1-3/8 inches. If a drawer sticks, remove it and inspect the glide for cracked polymer or a bent rear bracket. These checks cost nothing and tell us what to bring.

Where DIY goes wrong: re-boring a 35mm hinge cup freehand with a Forstner bit almost always wanders, and a misaligned bore means a new door face. The soft-close damper cartridge contains a small hydraulic piston under spring pressure; forcing a seized unit apart can spray mineral oil and ruin the hinge body.
