To identify your series, check for stamped markings on the paver underside (visible if you lift a loose unit) or measure the joint width: permeable systems run 1/4″-3/8″ between units, while standard interlock keeps joints at 1/16″-1/8″. The edge restraint is the giveaway part - Bufftech’s aluminum L-profile restraint has a distinct return lip that standard paver edging lacks. We source OEM-equivalent restraints through our paver distributors; aftermarket universal edging will not seat flush with Bufftech’s chamfer profile and leaves a visible gap that collects debris.

Signs Your Bufftech Driveway & Pavers Is Failing

• Pavers rocking or tilting under pressure. The bedding sand layer has washed out or compacted unevenly, often from irrigation overspray hitting the same section daily or from Pasadena’s clay-heavy subsoil expanding and contracting through wet winters.
